The chess-board is the world, the pieces are the phenomena of the universe, the rules of the game are what we call the laws of Nature. The player on the other side is hidden from us.
Thomas Huxley
Big Game
Kosintsev I.G.
(22.01.2021)
The chess variant Big Game represents a new approach to the invention and creation of 10x10 Grand chess. Not extended in front, but a compact arrangement of chess pieces are used, which is fully consistent with Fisher's concept of 'dominant chess' with high activity of all pieces.
This variant is close to the classical one and therefore allows the use of standard and well-known chess equipment and instruments.
Checker is a fairy chess piece Guard. Moves as Pasha (King and Alibaba).
Promotion rule: a pawn that reaches the eighth rank to be replaced of a guard of the same color, a guard that reaches the ninth or tenth rank to be replaced of a queen of the same color.
Pieces are simultaneously seven virtues of Bushido:
Justice(義)K
Courage(勇)Q
Benevolence(仁)B
Truthfulness(誠)R
Honor(名誉)N
Loyalty(忠義) G
Politeness/Respect(礼)P

The Free Chess Society supports and protects the individuality of each player. This means that chess pieces can have any fair interpretation. For example, you can play Waterloo by classical Dai shogi 大将棋 pieces with appropriate rules. This chess variant is called Cook's chess or 華棋.
The complete set has 60 double-sided pieces (checkers): 40 yellow/green and 20 red/blue:
1. King 王 or 玉: f10 and e1.
2. Queen 奔 f1,e10.
3. Rook 飛: b1,i1,b10,i10.
4. Lance 香: a1,k1,a10,k10.
5. Bishop 角: c1,h1,c10,h10.
6. Knight 桂: c2,h2,c9,h9.
7. Gold general 金: e2,f2,e9,f9.
8. Silver general 銀: d2,g2,d9,g9.
9. Copper general 銅:: b2,i2,b9,i9.
10. Iron general 鉄: a2,k2,a9,k9.
11. Lion 獅 d1,g1,d10,g10.
12. Pawn 歩: a3-k3, a8-k8.
Promotion is absent. The three furthest ranks are an opponent's kingdom. A pawn is moved from this ranks as king. A iron general is moved from this ranks as silver general. A copper general, lance or a knight is moved from this ranks as gold general.
Chess players are not idiots. Consequently, any classical obstruction against exellent variants of chess will disappear over time.

Izmail
Suwarrow now was conqueror — a match
For Timour or for Zinghis in his trade.
While mosques and streets, beneath his eyes, like thatch
Blazed, and the cannon's roar was scarce allay'd,
With bloody hands he wrote his first despatch;
And here exactly follows what he said: —
'Glory to God and to the Empress!' (Powers
Eternal! such names mingled!) 'Ismail 's ours.'

Stalker (3-in-1)
Kosintsev I.G.
kosintsev.i.g@gmail.com
(20.10.2019)
Stalker is a chess variant created especially for inventors of various unfair strange curious peculiar chess pieces. In essence, this game is transposition of well-known Carrera's (1617), Bird's (1874) or Capablanca's (1920s) chess on a classical 8x8 board based on the idea of Shatranj's tabbiyyas. Two unfair pieces are arranged near King and Queen: Fantom near King, and Dragon near Queen. It's clear that extra pieces can represent or be interpreted as any invented pieces, for example, as Cardinal and Marshall or something else. It's also important that players nead only two checkers (obverse and reverse) in addition to the standard chess set. They can use the now popular 3-in-1 chess set.
The initial position is as shown in the diagram:
The yellow pieces:
1. Pawn (P): a3, b3, c3, d3, e3, f3, g3, h3 (8 pieces).
2. Knight (N): c2, f2 (2 pieces).
3. Bishop (B): d2, e2 (2 pieces).
4. Rook (R): b2, g2 (2 pieces).
5. Fantom (F): c1 (1 piece).
6. Dragon (D): f1 (1 piece).
7. Queen (Q): e1 (1 piece).
8. King (K): d1 (1 piece).
The green pieces:
1. Pawn (P): a6, b6, c6, d6, e6, f6, g6, h6 (8 pieces).
2. Knight (N): c7, f7 (2 pieces).
3. Bishop (B): d7, e7 (2 pieces).
4. Rook (R): b7, g7 (2 pieces).
5. Fantom (F): f1 (1 piece).
6. Dragon (D): c1 (1 piece).
7. Queen (Q): d1 (1 piece).
8. King (K): e1 (1 piece).
All rules are classical, excluding features of extra pieces.
Castling is the King’s leap through one piece to the left or two pieces to the right.
Of course, this game can be used to assess the real strength (relative value) of chess pieces. But such a mercantile idea contradicts the philosophy of chess as a combinatorial game in which all depends on the position.
This means that every class of aditional pieces has its own appropriate more sutable Fisher's permutation of pieces. For example, for weak pieces is better such initial position.
The perfect initial position of Stalker is such:
This game can be played also with a dropping.
