The chess variant "Don Quixote" belongs to the class of fairy chess, where players are forced move to an abstract position like a train rides through dark tunnel to another reality on other side of mounts.

It is interesting that this chess variant is the correct chess opening. And grandmasters, as gentelmen and sportsmen, can try it at a prestigious tournament such as the Capablanca Memorial.

Можливо це була одна з версій або різновидів шахів Фішера, яку я ніколи не грав. Зіграв лише заради цікавості до дебютної конфігурації в стилі головоломки.
На мою думку ці шахи мають бути зіграні на турнірі як одна з версій шахів Фішера.

Fortuna chess is a commercial game without a draw. This is also a new approach to the invention and creation of 10x10 Grand chess. Not extended in front, but a compact arrangement of chess pieces are used, which is fully consistent with Fisher's concept of 'dominant chess' with high activity of all pieces.
This variant is close to the classical one with the additional piece Elephant and therefore allows the use of standard and well-known chess (checkers) equipment and instruments.

The rules of the game are similar to classic chess, but with some exceptions.
Pawn moves as Wazir but captures as Ferz.
Checker is a fairy chess piece Modern Elephant. Moves as Ferz and Alfil (1X , ~ 2X).
Promotion rule: a pawn that reaches the ninth rank to be replaced of a queen of the same color.
The value of pieces:
Pawn - 1 point,
Knight - 2 points,
Elephant - 2 points,
Bishop - 3 points,
Rook - 5 points,
Queen - 10 points,
King - 20 points.
The first person to get fifty (or if it is impossible more) points is the winner.

Geneva chess is a symbiosis of the variants Big Game and Shako. This is also a new approach to the invention and creation of 10x10 Grand chess. Not extended in front, but a compact arrangement of chess pieces are used, which is fully consistent with Fisher's concept of 'dominant chess' with high activity of all pieces.
This variant is close to the classical one with additional Xiangqi pieces and therefore allows the use of standard and well-known chess equipment and instruments.

Promotion rule: a pawn that reaches the eighth rank to be replaced of a knight of the same color, a knight that reaches the ninth or tenth rank to be replaced of a queen of the same color.

Вам буде цікаво дізнатись про існування казкових шахів Медуза (Μέδουσα), звичайних шахів з незвичайною королевою. І це набагато ближче до наших чарівних феміністичних шахісток, ніж Голівуд (The Queen’s Gambit). Королева в цих шахах має здатність паралізувати всі фігури супротивника, які опинилося під її ударом, тобто магічним впливом. Врятувати фігуру може лише перекриття, або відхід королеви на безпечну лінію. Зрозуміло, що коли королева стоіть поруч з фігурою, перекриття неможливо, і це називають поцілунком. Правила не дозволяють королевам наближатися одна до одної. Цікаво, що королеа Медуза може сама поставити мат, як і королева Амазонка.
Але якщо король це Посейдон, а кінь - Персей, тоді можливі Метаморфози.
